Alcamé Tetra Protein Complex© is a powerful hair-strengthening blend composed of various different molecular weights of hydrolyzed vegetable proteins and emollients. The complex contains low molecular weight compounds that penetrate the cortex to moisturize from within and the high molecular weight actives lubricate and reinforce the cuticle. These properties unite to strengthen the hair, improve tensile strength and aid in withstanding the stresses of chemical processes (perms, haircolor and relaxers), environmental abuse and thermal styling procedures.

This blend has been infused into many of the products at a range of levels dependent on the formula and the potency desired that most benefits the hair and scalp. We may also use various differently derived complexes of the master blend, for example, a citrus infused antioxidant blend rich in vitamins A, C and E derived from fruit oils and extracts or a potent protein and amino acid complex to protect, seal and lubricate the hair cuticle.
It is reassuring to know that all Alcamé shampoos and conditioners along with many of our styling and finishing products contain a potent UV-inhibitor derived from Sunflower Seed Cake extract that helps the hair by neutralizing UV-induced oxygen — derived free radicals. Some products have additional color protection by combining gentle sulfate-free lathering surfactants along with other UV-inhibitors and free radical scavengers.
